To explore the challenges of the housing crisis and the uncertainties of contemporary living, Pressing Matters #2 looked at the urbanscape through the lens of abandoned objects, furniture, and materials.


     For Milan Design Week 2024 whywhynot continued working on the project ‘Pressing Matters’, this time finding the form of a functional outdoor shower for the exhibition ‘The Dutch Embassy of Living’ curated by Cecilia Casabona at Dopo?. Along with other installations and objects the shower addressed the housing crisis and dwelling displacement happening in Milan and throughout Europe. This culminated in an intervention using experimental printing techniques on recovered objects found throughout the city of Rotterdam.
